Stepping Forward

I like to sketch. I like to paint. Recently I tried to teach myself how to draw and paint anime and had mixed results. I'm not great. Not totally bad, but not great. I should stick to poetry. Have you read my poem about cheeseburgers ? No? How about the one I wrote about drawing ? I have even dabbled in Haiku . Seriously, read my poems. If you do, I'll call you my best friend . well, if you want some more tips on drawing anime, I thought this video was a good tutorial on drawing an anime girl. At least an anime girl's face.

If you've never read Edgar Allan Poe, or at least haven't read his work since you had to back in high school, then you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy of his works and give them a read. Poe was truly a master of his craft. I think a good book to pick up is Edgar Allan Poe: Complete Tales and Poems . You can get it here on Amazon . I shrieked, "dissemble no more! I admit the deed! --tear up the planks! here, here! --It is the beating of his hideous heart!" Love that ending!
