Boyfriend - A Haiku



Another haiku for today. This one is about boyfriends and spouses and how they are not necessarily the same person. I like the subtle imagery in this one.

Damp break of the day
A former, boyfriend slithers
because of the spouse

I made this very simple cartoon sketch today. Just some dude. I made the sketch in Procreate on an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil. I really enjoy this combination for quick sketching. Then I thought I would mess around with special effects using Topaz Studio and its AI Remix filter. This filter uses Artificial Intelligence to mimic famous painting styles. Sketching and Drawing

I like to sketch. I like to paint. Recently I tried to teach myself how to draw and paint anime and had mixed results. I'm not great. Not totally bad, but not great. I should stick to poetry. Have you read my poem about cheeseburgers ? No? How about the one I wrote about drawing ? I have even dabbled in Haiku . Seriously, read my poems. If you do, I'll call you my best friend . well, if you want some more tips on drawing anime, I thought this video was a good tutorial on drawing an anime girl. At least an anime girl's face.

Colleagues may snicker about your “hobby.” Friends may drift apart as you may spend less time with them and more time on your novel.
